VA Office of Construction Management and Facilities (OFCM) Headquarters, Washington, DC: VA Asbestos Abatement Master Design Manual
AMI Environmental was responsible for the revision of the Veterans Administration (VA) Asbestos Master Design Manual and the Specification of pertinent sections. The Master Microsoft Word templates would be utilized by the OCFM at all VA Hospitals, ambulatory care, clinics, energy centers, outpatient clinics, animal research facilities, and laboratory facilities throughout the VA Healthcare system.
VAMC New Orleans, LA: Hospital and Research Towers Post Katrina Emergency Response
AMI was a member of the first responder team called upon to assess the damage caused by Hurricane Katrina. We were responsible for identifying and assessing all environmental hazards present in the 1-million-square-foot facility and directing and monitoring remedial activities necessary for safe re-occupancy and renewal of the facility. VA Gulf Coast HCS, Gulfport, MS: Campus Property Transfer
As a Hazardous Materials First Responder, AMI performed an initial Environmental Site Assessment of all structures on the 30-plus building campus following extensive damage caused by Hurricane Katrina. We conducted facility assessments and hazardous materials investigations to determine potential contamination and infection risks associated.

Department of Defense Experience
Our extensive DoD experience includes working in hospitals, administrative spaces, industrial, residential, research facilities, and sensitive healthcare environments. Overall, AMI Environmental has provided environmental services at over 70 installations, CONUS and OCONUS, since 1994 on multiple IDIQ contracts.
The environmental services we provide for these contracts regularly include phasing, work plan development, industrial hygiene surveys and monitoring, quality control/assurance, remediation contracting, worker protection and emergency response services in response to multiple healthcare and military facility renewal, repair, and minor construction projects.

Healthcare Experience
AMI Environmental is regularly called upon for healthcare renovation and maintenance projects, hazardous materials management, microbial and indoor air quality problems, pre-demolition surveys and construction-related infection control.
