Industrial Hygiene
Our services are geared towards preventing workplace or job site exposure to chemical, biological and physical hazards. AMI develops cost-effective solutions and strategies for reducing and eliminating environmental hazards and ensuring your organization is OSHA compliant.
To protect against exposure hazards and minimize potential liability risks, AMI can provide air sampling and monitoring for facility operations, and throughout all phases of new construction or renovation projects.
The LEED rating system includes credit for documenting improved air quality for workers and occupants both during construction and prior to building occupancy. In order to qualify for such credits, AMI Environmental can conduct many of the specific indoor air quality baseline measurements to document that target levels have been achieved. Some of the specific air quality parameters may include particulates, volatile organic compounds, formaldehyde, carbon monoxide, and other chemical byproducts. Advancements in technology, and an overall awareness of the raw materials and chemicals used in the manufacture and installation of building materials have resulted in many "green" and low VOC emitting products, making the air quality target measurements and resulting LEED credit quite achievable.
