AMI Environmental Celebrates 25 years
April 27, 2011
Omaha, Neb. — AMI Environmental (AMI) celebrates 25 years of service to the environmental, health and safety, and industrial hygiene industries this year. Established as one of the first asbestos-consulting firms in the Midwest, AMI instituted many of the procedures that are used in the environmental services industry today. The company continues to set the standard for consulting and remediation practices both nationally and internationally.
Daniel Taylor founded AMI in Omaha, Neb. in 1986 as AMI Asbestos Management, Inc., to provide asbestos consulting and analytical services to private and public healthcare and education providers. Five years later, the company was renamed AMI Group, Inc. to reflect its expanded expertise in both traditional and evolving environmental health, safety and industrial hygiene services. Clairmont Engineering, Inc. was established as a sister company in 1994 to execute government contracts that required at-risk environmental remediation at military healthcare facilities worldwide. In 2000, the management teams of AMI Group, Inc. and Clairmont Engineering, Inc. were merged to deliver integrated environmental consulting and remediation services under the brand name AMI Environmental. Today, AMI Environmental and its two sister companies, Clairmont, Inc. and ARID Resources, Inc., are housed in a 25,000 square foot, environmentally-friendly headquarters where company administrators convene to develop the best methods for eliminating environmental issues in industrial, commercial, healthcare and military facilities.
